Here's what I've been trying the last few weeks...
Over the last couple of months actually I've been replacing that old razor with my Braun Silk Epil 5 aka my Epilator. Not sure what an epliator is? Well, it's a form of hair removal which has lots of little tweezers that pluck the hair out. Think waxing without the wax. I know, you're thinking, man that's gotta hurt. I'd be lying to you if I said it didn't, but it does get better and easier. Plus, your hair doesn't grow back as fast (I only epilate once a week). You can use it anywhere on your body, but I use mine on my legs, underarms, and upper lip (which takes practice).
I'm a complete late comer to the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment party and now I know what the fuss is about. It's a great lip treatment, and the colors they offer are nicely pigmented. If you haven't tried it yet, look for it in sample form on your next beauty order!
Speaking of samples, I also have a sample of the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara and the Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick. Both come with the quality we've all come to expect from UD but I'm not overly wowed by either. The lipstick, while matte and the sample is a great color, isn't anything spectacular and the mascara, while definitely volumizing, didn't make me instantly fall in love. Again, they're still great products, but they weren't something to write home about...or blog, as it were.
I snapchatted (@shesleaningin) about the Wet'n Wild MegaLast Matte Lipstick over the weekend and I'm still loving the lipstick. Between the price point, the pigmentation, and the stay power, this is a knock your socks off lipstick.
It Cosmetics 'Your Skin but Better' CC Creme is such a huge disappointment for me. It was expensive and just does not work for my skin. If you follow me on Snapchat, you'll have caught me saying "I figured it out..." but later than day, I realized that I had just delayed the inevitable. This CC Creme feels like it's just sitting on top of my skin and makes me completely matte. Like, may or may not be of the living kind of flat. It's just terrible for me, and soooo many people have raved about this! I think if you have dry skin, you'll probably do better with this, but if you're at all oily, I'd say stay away.
The BeautyWorks Miracle 10 in 1 Miracle Spray was also a disappointment. I received this with my Lookfantastic Beauty Box and gave it a go this morning. Again, I have extremely fine hair, and any conditioner has the potential to turn heavy. This one did. I much prefer my Beauty Protector Detangling Leave In Treatment to this one.
Finally, I've saved the best for last. When I applied the Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation to my skin, I almost felt my skin sigh. It's so light and provides pretty decent coverage while hiding imperfections in the skin and lets a bit of your natural glow shine through. I will be running (I will literally run if I have to) to my nearest Sephora to get this as soon as possible.
