Where There's Smoke...

This was legitimately the first time I ever considered staying up ridiculously late to buy a makeup product exactly when it was released and that's because I've always lived by this eye shadow rule:

when in doubt, smoke it out.

It has never failed me. Ever. So you can imagine how excited I was when I learned earlier in the year that Urban Decay would be coming out with a Naked Smoky Palette to add to their already ridiculously amazing line of Naked Palettes.
I'm ashamed to admit that I forgot to include the brush that comes with this palette in the photo above and that's because I love it to the moon and back. It has a tapered blending brush on one side and then on the other, a pencil brush which I use for under the eye. I'll try to get a shot of it for instagram (@shesleaningin).

Anyways, what I really love about this palette is the versatility. Not only can you do a super hot smoky eye, but you can do a fabulous natural/day look as well. In fact up until recently, this was the only palette I reached for regardless of whether it was day or night. You can also change it up and do a warm or cool toned smoky eye. Which is pretty fantastic since typically you'll find a palette that lends itself to one or the other. Urban Decay managed to rock it out and do both.

Let's talk about my favorite shades:

Really, all of the shades are fantastic, but the shades I get the most use out of are the heavily foiled High and Armor; Dagger, Password (!), Combust, and Thirteen. But seriously though....Password. Password is my jam. It's a warm, taupe-y, gray, and it makes my heart sing.

To wrap things up, if you're not a makeup addict, and you're looking for one good palette, this is the one to get. It's so versatile, it's Urban Decay and remember, when in doubt, smoke it out.
