The Two B's of Skincare

I'm an oily beast. ...okay, let me explain. My skin (which I inherited from my father) is extremely oily. My entire life, I've tried several different skin care regimes, some of them worked for a while, and others were a complete fail. To make it even better? I have pretty sensitive skin.

Finding a skincare regime that worked and didn't irritate my skin was basically like finding a needle in a stack of needles. Until recently...

I went on the prowl for a good makeup remover. I had begun having very bad breakouts all over my face, and I thought perhaps that the makeup remover I had was not doing a good enough job, and my face wash I knew was not ideal for me. As a side note, that face wash was the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish system which is a cult classic. It left my face clean, but did nothing to prevent my breakouts.

Enter Bioderma. I had heard of Bioderma through a few other beauty bloggers/vloggers but hadn't tried it until one day, on a whim, I logged onto Bioderma.com and went to work trying to select the best version. I opted for the Sebium range.

The next part of this was replacing my face wash with another one. I was at Target (on one of my many stops during the week) and picked up the Botanics Shine Away Mattifying and Cleansing Mousse

Between these two products my skin has almost completely cleared. I should also add that I saw results within three days. Three days of using Bioderma Sebium Cleansing Water at night and the Botanics Shine Away in the morning and all of my breakouts have nearly cleared and are not slowly but surely dwindling away completely. So, if you're oily like me, and have struggled to get your breakouts under control, give this duo a try. At a total of less than $25 for both, it's absolutely worth it.

PS It's worth mentioning that Bioderma is a French company. My thoughts and prayers are with Paris this week.
