I love to bake and I've been doing a lot more of it lately. In fact, in the past week I've made Banana Tres Leches, a ridiculously good Chocolate Peanut-Butter Cake, and I'm planning to try my hand at beignets here shortly...or at least...I was when I broke my measuring spoons.
Seriously, I broke them and I have no backups. How does that happen? I've also had a lot of struggles with my measuring cups as well and this kind of sparked a "Candice it's time to get your crap together in the kitchen" movement that lead me to...well...this blog post.
Williams Sonoma is usually my first stop for any kitchen accessories. I really love the selection and the quality. The measuring spoons, cups, and that french press are all from there. The french press is really kind of a luxury item for me. I don't generally drink coffee at home, but occasionally I have a craving for a good french press. I figured this would do the trick.
Since Christmas is just about around the corner, I've been digging out some Christmas Cookie recipes and this year, I've decided it's time to Spritz it up. The Wilton's Cookie Press is pretty much the best cookie press on the market.
I've also been re-organizing my recipes. For me, the best thing to do is use a recipe binder, versus a recipe box or book. I found this one on Zazzle.com and I just love it. It's actually for a bridal shower, but it can be customized to fit your own personal recipe book. Not to mention, this is a great bridal shower gift, don't you think?
