Pantone has spoken and they managed to draw two colors from the goblet of fire this year. Rose Quartz and Serenity are the new colors for 2016 and I gotta tell you. I'm a little obsessed with both. Brian's going to kill me when I tell him I need to paint a room in serenity.
Maybe the laundry room?
Anyways, in order to celebrate, I've searched my favorite sources for some color inspiration, check 'em out...
I found this color palette on design-seeds.com one of my favorite color-inspiration websites and thought it was a great representation of how to use the two colors together without being over the top. I think this color palette would be great in an office!
Blue is generally considered a classic color for your home. While this is a slightly darker representation of Serenity, it still gives you a good idea of what you could do with blue in your home.
This is about the only time you'll ever find me condoning the use of beige. Because pink is such a demanding color, it's important to have a color that is very neutral, and you don't get anymore neutral than beige.
For more immediate inspiration, here are some paint colors from both Valspar and Behr:
If you end up using either (or both) of these colors, instagram me with pictures! I'd love to see what you do! PS, in case you're a little afraid of commitment, how amazing are these mason jars!?
