Happy Friday everyone! I don't know about you, but this Friday is pretty much the best Friday because this Friday is so badly needed. It's been a long week.
Today I've featured my favorite drugstore makeup brushes. These are brushes I use basically every day. Don't get me wrong, I love a higher end brush (like the MAC 217) but I continually find myself reaching for these guys day in and day out. I'm going to do this in order of application...
The Miracle Complexion Sponge from Real Techniques is what finally made me love the It Cosmetics 'Your Skin but Better' CC+ Cream. I'll talk more about this in my favorite video, but I struggled with that CC cream for months until I finally tried it with this and boom! A miracle...they weren't kidding.
This setting brush is the best for blending out concealer under your eye. It's the Real Techniques Setting Brush and while I use it for concealer most often, I also use it to set my eye shadow primer as well. It's got a great shape for that area and is duo-fiber, which helps the product stay on your face rather than getting stuck to the bristles.
I'm an oily beast, so I have to set any foundation I do. I personally love using the Blush Brush I got in the ECO Tools Starter Kit. What you can't see here is that the brush is actually tapered and is really good at getting in to all the nooks and crannies of your face.
When Wet n Wild Beauty came out with this brush line, Kathleen Lights mentioned it in one of her videos. I thought heh, let's give it a try and now I love this Contour Brush. It blends the makeup out beautifully, and is so soft. PS It's like .99 cents.
The Sonia Kashuk No. 29 is a cult classic at this point. Most beauty vloggers/bloggers use it/own it and I'm no different. I purchased this about a year ago on a whim and it's been a staple ever since. This is the most expensive brush on my list ($18) but it's well worth the money.
What brushes are staples in your routine? Let me know in the comments below!
