Pretty Much the Best Contour

First off, I'm so sorry this is coming so late in the day. It's been that kind of week. But, it's still Wednesday so that totally counts, right?

Those of you who follow me, know that I've been a little obsessed with the contour as of late, and I think I've found the ultimate contour powder. In my February favorites, I mentioned the Wet 'n Wild Dulce de Leche Contour Palette and while that's a great powder/highlight combo, it's not great for everyone. Meg from MyMonochromaticLife said she liked the powder but it was a bit too brown.

The Natural Contour Powder by Pixi is brown-ish but it's got gray undertones which is really what contouring is all about. Creating a shadow is what you are trying to achieve. That's all. When it finally clicked in my head that creating a shadow was the name of the came, contouring became very easy. Look for the spot, directly under your cheek bones where a natural shadow would form. That's the sweet spot.

I've used both brushes pictured above for contouring. Both work famously and both are under $10. They are the Wet 'n Wild Contour Brush and the ELF Contour Brush. The ELF brush is available at Target while the Wet 'n Wild you'll have to order off their website.

If you've never tried it, give it a shot! Let me know how it goes in the comments below!
