Holiday Gift Guide | The Bookstore

It's that time of year again everyone. Time to start filling the blog up with holiday gift guides and the first of the year, for me anyways, will be my guide to the bookstore. I love to read and as such, I'm a huge promoter of all things books. Here are some of my favorites of the year (or past years)...

Holiday Gift Guide | The Book Store

For the Kitchen-Dweller. When I say that Candace Nelson came out with a baking book I just about died. She's the founder of the first-ever cupcakery "Sprinkles Cupcakes" and is now sharing 100 of her favorite recipes. You guys, this cupcakery even has a vending machine. A vending machine, that serves cupcakes. A vending machine. Heart-eyed emoji's everywhere.

For the Historian. I haven't read this book, but someday, I will. Ron Chernow's Alexander Hamilton inspired the broadway smash "Hamilton" and has been reviewed as the best biography on Alexander Hamilton. If the musical follows the book at all, I'm sure it's going to be great.

For the Paranormally Romanced. I absolutely devoured the Aisling Grey Guardian series by Katie MacAlister. They're just great, quick reads, that are hot, and sexy, and fun. Highly recommend this series to any woman (or dude) who is looking for a quick read that's highly entertaining. There's a total of 4 books and starts with You Slay Me.

For the Young/Harry Potter Lover. Chances are if your gift-ee loves Harry Potter they've already read this, but I know a fair amount of people that were turned off by the fact that it was a play. Fear not my friends, my husband and I both have read this book and both of us couldn't put it down. It goes very quick, and is really a fantastic story. Pick up The Cursed Child here.

For the All-Rounder. Outlander may have been on my list of books to read no matter what last year and it remains there this year. Not only is this series one hell of a piece of art, but this book is hands down, the best book I've ever read. Like, didn't want to finish it for fear of the ending kind of good. Also, in case you've been living under a rock lately, Starz has a hit series based on this series as well. If you haven't checked that out, I'd highly recommend that as well. I mean...have you seen Sam Heughan
