Maternity Post | What's on my Shopping List?

Maternity Shopping List

This week I'm 21 weeks and shit's getting real. I've been out of some of my pre-pregnancy clothes for a while and now I'm still in one pair of pants, but not for long. I finally broke down and got some amazing maternity jeans (here) and a couple basic tee's from Target. This brought into light, something I have always struggled with, but with pregnancy the struggle is REAL: I have a very long torso. Very long. And I'm beginning to realize that I'm carrying a bit low. What does this mean?

Maternity tops are too short for me. So I sent my fashion guru (Meg from MyMonochromaticLife) on the search for some cute tunics. She managed to come up with some things that have made it on the shopping list (and I've added a few other essentials as well)...

I've discovered that I really need some maternity leggings and maternity tanks. These are essentials for me. So I found these Maternity Full-Panel Jersey Leggings and these Shirred Tanks from Old Navy I'm excited to give a try.

Finding good tunics is not an easy task, but Meg was up for it. The first one she sent was the Junarose Woven Tunic from Asos. At first I wasn't sure, and within seconds I realized that this would so flattering now, until the end of my pregnancy, so in the basket it goes! This Grapevine Tunic from Free People is just about the best thing I've ever seen. I'm going to get it in coral (I'm forcing myself to not get it in gray). It's fab.

Target has been a decent place to look for clothes lately, but I'm not going to lie. Their maternity section sucks. This Mixed Media Side Split Tee from Mossimo will work for maternity though. Definitely picking one up in my standard: gray. The last item she sent (or maybe second to last, who knows?) was this Blush Pink Sweater from Lulu's. I LOVE how long this is. It just seems so comfy and should last me another couple months. Eventually it will be too warm for California, but I really love it and it will work for seasons to come!
