I knew I was in deep when I opened the box to find the most beautiful packaging in the history of makeup. I mean, all this for a $32 cream eyeshadow!? Love.
They also sent tons of samples, which was great, but really, I need to gush about this eyeshadow. It is unbelievable.
The one I ended up purchasing was the 'Eyes to Mesmerize' in Mona Lisa. This line is especially cool because she's taken iconic women, with iconic eyes, and made eyeshadows to mimic those looks. For instance, the one above is Mona Lisa, but there's also Marie Antoinette, Jean (for Norma Jean), Bette (for Bette Davis) and Cleopatra. The best thing about these shadows is their ability to blend and build. You can easily go from day to night with this shadow by just applying a little bit more because (p.s.) it will still be on your lids!
CT recommends using a brush or your finger, and I've found that using a nice big fluffy eye shadow brush is the way to go. I just dip it in (very lightly) and start applying on my lid with wide motions. Eventually I blend up, using little circles and the windshield wiper motion until I'm satisfied with the blend. I do my holy grail primer NARS ProPrime Smudgeproof Eye Shadow Primer underneath this to make sure there's no creasing and that it lasts all day.
I love, LOVE, how it looks and can't wait to get more. Next on my list is Marie Antoinette! I'm coming for you Marie!
