Weekend Hugs, Dinner, and Surprises

Good morning everyone! I'm sorry for the lack of posts last week. For some reason my brain just wasn't functioning (#pregnancyproblems). Anyways, this weekend was (surprise) pretty low-key, as it normally is, but also because I wasn't feeling the greatest all weekend.

Friday was B's birthday so we went out to dinner to celebrate. We ate at Wood Ranch which is a franchise restaurant with actually very good barbecue. It was apparently exactly what I needed because the moment I bit into those beef ribs, Angels sang and bird's chirped.

Saturday is when I began not feeling great. Not like sick, but just run down, so I took it easy and slowly cleaned house (thank goodness) and when B got home we went grocery shopping at Target and Trader Joe's. Speaking of when B got home, someone was happy to see him...

And yes, that is Jurassic Park: Lost World on in the background. With my easy day I was able to peruse Netflix a bit and tried to watch Pete's Dragon...it's sad, like way too sad for a hormonal pregnant lady, so I switched it to the Jurassic Park. Later that night, B and I watched The BFG, which if you haven't seen, Watch! It's on Netflix...  I also browsed Pinterest for dinner recipes and managed to somehow stumble on this:

I mean....right? It's funny cause, you know, it's the Beast....and Belle....and Bitches.

And now for the surprise portion of this post. I was very surprised, shocked, awed, all the words when in the mail I received a gift from a friend of something random but all together perfect. There's a long story behind all this, and it boils down to this:

I've decided I'm going to make a baptismal stole for baby (this) and wanted (as usual) the
perfect color which didn't existing in the yarn world (not surprised).
Something silk, lovely, gorgeous, feminine
but not all together pink...cause...no.

I received this from a friend: a custom dyed color, in silk, and it's the perfect blushy-nude
both B and I were looking for. I now need to cast on, cause this thing is going to
take me a trillion years to make.

And that's how my weekend went! How was yours? Let me know in the comments below.

Linking up with B Loved Boston to share about my weekend!

    1. It was delicious! If you have a Wood Ranch near you, check it out!

  2. Your Saturday night is my dream. Pinterest and Jurassic Park. OK. I was so pumped when I realized all three were on Netflix. I used to watch them with my brother when we were younger, but I haven't seen #2 and #3 in years, so I watched them all last week. I kind of have a thing for Dr. Grant. It's fine. Also, that Beast meme...100 times yes.

    1. Jurassic Park is everything and YES! to Dr. Grant. I had a crush on him back in the day, and I still swoon a bit. And that meme is the best thing...ever.

High five!
